I recently purchased camper #9! I’ve been camping on weekends since the 90s and RVing fulltime since 2018.

Did you know that the KIND of camper you are looking for pretty much dictates the kind of traveling you will be doing? For example, if you are in a camper van you will likely travel every few days or more often. You might be boondocking or staying in BLM land. If you have a big motorhome or fifth wheel you will likely be traveling less frequently and staying longer at each stop.

There is NO perfect camper. Every one represents a compromise. If you choose a smaller camper or trailer you will feel more nimble with travel days a breeze. BUT when you get to your campsite you may find life less enjoyable if you feel cramped or lacking the items you need to enjoy life. OR you may find a camper big enough to carry what you want with you but then travel days are stressful.

In this video, I talk about the pros and cons of travel trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes and truck campers as I share with you my decision making process for buying my next camper. I also discuss length and the good and bad of towables versus drivables.
